Last March I wrote about how to convert graphic file formats with one of my favorite online image converters called CoolUtils. It worked seamlessly to convert .gif and .bmp files to .jpb which is the only file format I’m permitted to use on this blog. Until today.
When I tried to convert an image this morning, I was directed to download an .exe file which my Mac promptly rejected. That’s when I discovered Zamzar.com.
With a few simple clicks, I was able upload a .gif file for conversion. A few short seconds later I received an email directing me back to the site where I could access my newly converted .jpg file. The entire exchange took less than one minute.
Zamzar supports a variety of formats including video and music and offers a for-free subscription model for users with need for online storage and large file conversion.
If I can figure it out, trust me – so can you!
