Having a good and consistent picture has really helped me with branding. If anybody comments on blogs often, they should definitely get a Gravatar because it automatically pulls in a user’s picture based upon their email. Integrates with a variety of services such as WordPress, IntenseDebate, and Polldaddy.

Sima, you’ve definitely “got sway” with that head shot, excellent. As they say, you’re only as good as your weakest link. An amateur-hour headshot is the fast track to the weakest link. Yet the easiest to bolster your personal brand, if done right. Agree with Ash Blue, and I would add a Disqus profile and include your headshot… ensures personal brand consistency across all comments threads, activities.
