New Twist On Direct Mail

May 27, 2010

Think outside of the box – literally!

An innovative twist in direct marketing finds advertisers creating ads that go on the outside of shipping box, next to the shipping label. Zadspace, Inc. is one company leading the charge. Their partners include catalog retailers, infomercial product distributors and e-tailers. Armed with purchasing data, Zadspace helps advertisers target consumers that match their target demographic.

According to an article in Deliver Magazine, response rates are anywhere from one percent to 14 percent and costs are similar to traditional DM pieces – not too shabby!

Not too shabby at all…I think one has to be innovative in the way one promotes themselves and their business. If it catches the eye of one new client then the investment is worth it. I think of the amount of dollars I have spent on advertising, communication and media outreach (one suporting the other) and see how it can definitely work well…the key is to not let one stand alone and expect incredible results.
